Woven in France
This tapestry by Jean-Baptiste Huet (1745-1811)was woven for the first time towards 1780 at eh Royal Manufacture of Beauvais. This wall hanging is part of a series of ten wall-hangings - Tentures Patorales - five with red draperies and five with blue draperies.
This tapestry is beautifully decorated with red draperies in the Louis 16th style, which brings a bright and colourful touch.
Tapestry is backed with lining and tunnel for easy hanging cotton and viscose blend
