Woven in Belgium This tapestry, woven at the "Manufacture des Gobelins", represents the victory of King Louis XIV over the Spanish in Flanders in 1667. It was designed by the Flemish painter, Frans Van der Meulen (1632-1690),
invited to Paris by Lebrun, first painter of the king. The French army is crossing the Canal of Bruges, followed by Louis XIV, the Prince de Conde and the Marquis de Crequy. it is shown at the castle
