Woven in Belgium King Sigismund Augustus of Poland, later to become Emperor commissioned these impressive tapestries from Michiel Coxcie of Mechelen in the mid 16th century. They were roved back and forth to several countries, mainly due to wars, but now form part of the state collection housed in the Wawelburcht Castle in Cracow.
