Woven in France
These wall hangings are taken from a tapestry by jean-Baptiste Huet (1745-1811) woven for the first time towards 1780 at eh Royal Manufacture of Neauvais. This tapestry is part of a series of ten wall -hangings Tentures Patorales - five with red draperies and five with blue draperies.
Flanerie is beautifully decorated with red draperies in the Louis 16th style, which brings a bright and colourful touch.
Tapestry is backed with lining and tunnel for easy hanging cotton and viscose blend
